When You Bend Down and Believe
I struggle to believe.
I woke up a few weeks ago with a knot in my stomach. My anxiety was so heavy that I couldnβt hold food down for several hours. To settle my nerves, I nibbled on bite-sized pieces of bread and drank sips of Gatorade. All morning, I sat in my living room with my Bible open on my lap and asked God to help me push past fear.
βLord, we need a breakthrough.βΒ Someone I loved was in a heap of trouble, and there was not a thing I could do to change it. All I could do was pray.
So with a heavy heart, I cried out to God and asked Him to do what I could not. I asked Him to interrupt my loved one and turn her around.
I needed a miracle.
I asked the Creator who spoke this vast universe into existence to say a word of life and peace over my family.
I looked to my Savior to fight for me and with me. My Jesus who conquered the ravages of sin and death must once again rescue a lost soul from the gates of hell.
I groaned as the tears fell and asked the Holy Spirit to help.
Do it again, Jesus.Β Do it again.
Lord, I want to believe You can do the impossible…

Believing is one thing believing in action in the day to day can be another thing entirely.
So true! Believing is hard work.
It’s the hardest when our loved ones choose to go in the opposite direction to God’s love & grace. But His grace & love still follows them despite their choices, as do our prayers!
Prayer is the most powerful force God has chosen to use, as it releases & mobilizes God’s powerful answers & interventions for our loved ones & us!
God + 1 = the majority!
The enemy would have us belive that we can’t do anything in those situations (I have been & am there too with my family) but the prayer of the righteous brings Heaven’s armies to arms!
That is doing ‘everything’ we can for our loved ones… as we pray, with tears running down our faces… God will always have the victory because He has already won! We just have to await His work to be accomplished in them but He is working as we wait Lyli! Praise Him!
