Wonder Woman
As a child, I lived a very sheltered life.Β Β I sat at home closeted in my bedroom on most Saturdays.Β What did I do while my parents held me captive, you ask?Β Well, I watched cartoons, of course.Β My absolute favorite for several years had to be Super Friends.Β Β I so desperately wanted to be a member of the Justice League of America.Β I mean, who doesn’t want to possess super power?
If I had to pick a super hero to emulate, it would definitely be Wonder Woman.Β Β First of all, she had the ability to make others tell the truth with that cool lasso.Β That would come in mighty handy.Β Plus, she looked amazing in a bathing suit.
This Easter weekend, I was reminded about my foolish childhood Super Hero fantasies after we got home from the Easter service.Β I had a resurrection revelation of sorts, and I wanted to share it with you through this VLOG.
Β “And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead
is living in you,
He who raised Christ from the dead
will also give life to your mortal bodies
because of His Spirit who lives in you.”
Romans 8:11, NIV
Q4U:Β How do you tap into your super power, Wonder Woman?
My one-word focus for the year is “fruitilicious.”Β Find out what that meansΒ here.
Thanks for stopping by!Β I would love to connect with you onΒ Facebook,Β Twitter, orΒ Pinterest.
It always amazes me that with the life of our Lord Jesus filling our hearts, how we can experience so much grace to overcome the highest mountains in our lives! And to think one day we will all have our new bodies He has promised us.
Over via Michelle’s.
Much love XX
Mia
Looking forward to that day with much anticipation! π
From one Wonder Woman to another: Thanks so much for this post. Hopefully we can learn to yield to and use our super powers!
I know! I need to “tap in” and “activate”! π
That’s what I’m talkin’ about! That’s the kind of superpower that changes the world. A supernatural superpower. Thanks for this, Lyli. I always love to see your sweet face and hear your voice π
Did you see the Bible mini-series on the History channel? That was exactly what Christ said to Peter at the end of one of the clips. Peter asked, “What are we going to do?” and Christ replied, “Change the world.” It’s amazing that He allows us to be part of His redemptive story!
Thank you for sharing this with me tonight. Christ living in me, dwelling in me, always sets me to ponder the awe I feel with His power actually in me. May this week be a blessing for you and through you, Lyli, ~ linda
It is overwhelming to think about the Spirit of Christ, the Hope of Glory, living in me. He is so good to us!
Lyli–what a wonderful to realize the resurrection–thank you for sharing this version of God’s word. Eugene Peterson says it well.
God bless you this week!
Jody, you use your super power so well. Thank you for your example!
This is total confirmation of my whole to-do list surrender. My to-do list is about self and my own agenda, my own timing. I love this!
I am with you, girl. When I try to do things “my way” it never goes well… I always end up a tired, frustrated mess.
I tell you what, The Message helps me in so many ways! Thank you for sharing this. I’ll never look at Wonder Woman the same way again π
I still kind of envious of her plane, but thinking about that verse in Romans 8 makes me so happy and fills me with confidence as I face this day. Thanks for stopping by, Courtney. π
