So he who had received five talents came
and brought five other talents,
saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents;
look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’
His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant;
you were faithful over a few things,
I will make you ruler over many things.
Enter into the joy of your lord.’
Matthew 5:20-21, NKJV
What a gorgeous picture of entering into joy! Love that!
Every time I look up and see clouds now, I think, “Today could be the day…”
This Scripture verse has taken on new meaning for me over the past year or two. And a beautiful picture to go with it!
Stopped over from Deidra’s. Thank you for visiting my blog also.
God bless,
Laura
I agree, Laura — this verse’s meaning has come alive for me. Love how He invites us to share in His joy as we put feet to our faith.
I love cloud photos. And we have such beautiful sunsets here at the beach. Last night the sky was pink as my husband and I took a walk around the neighborhood. Love that verse, and it reminds me to pray and seek wisdom on using the gifts he gives so freely. Happy Palm Sunday.
We are close to the ocean, too — the colors at dusk are incredible. We need to get out to the water more often. It is one of my favorite places to have quiet time. — these verses remind me that I need to stay diligent in my pursuit.
Beautiful picture as well as the story, may we be faithful in what we are asked to take care of.
Love photos of clouds and rays of the sun. So beautiful. Amazing what God places out in the world to see!!
He does good work, doesn’t He? 🙂
“Enter in to the joy of your Lord.” What on earth will THAT be like?!?! Makes me smile to imagine it.
It’s so way beyond my comprehension.. can’t wait! 🙂
Happy Palm Sunday!
thankful for Him! 🙂
Interesting that your photo and the one posted right before you cover clouds and clouds and more clouds. And, yes, when He “gifts” us, we must seek more and more ways to advance and mature His gifts… and then He will pour the blessings forward to us. There’s just no way to not trust Him and still find blessing. Instead, trust Him and the blessing is beyond belief.
I love the way you phrased that — “Advance and mature his gifts.” That should be our motto. 🙂
