Welcome One Another

I was ugly and dirty and covered in sin, and He welcomed me.
I was prickly and prideful. I was selfish and sour. Yet, He welcomed me with open arms.
I had nothing to offer. I came empty handed.
My life was upside-down, and my heart was hard.
I didn’t deserve His attention. But, He pursued me with kindness and love.
He invited me in and enveloped me in compassionate grace.
Now, He calls on me to extend His love to others.
He wants me to love the grime covered and sinful.
He asks me to reach out to the arrogant and the difficult.
I am not to demand. I am only to give it all away.
My life is a welcome mat that points to safe refuge, a soft place to land where Light dispels the darkness.
Open heart. Open hands.
Welcome one and all.
Something to think about…
I need God’s divine flow of love in me, to me, through me, so I can love others like He does!
to whom much has been given, much will be required.
reaching out …
Thank you for the reminder that we truly have been called to be a conduit of God’s love. And may I add, you truly do welcome us all. Much love to you today! XO
While not always easy… always good… and always right! Great post, my friend!

“…. He pursued me…” are three powerful words smack dab in the middle of your lovely post!!! He pursues us, desires us, wants nothing to stand in His way… so thankful for your wonderful words today, Lyli, and so glad I happened to see your post on twitter and wandered over to check out your site!
This blessed me!
Thanks, and hugs!!!
Lyli,
Open heart, Open hands. First from God then through us….Such grace…Thank you 🙂
And isn’t that a miracle? He doesn’t just let us squeeze our way in, he opens his arms and welcomes us! Love this, Lyli.
