The Round Up
There’s more to come:
We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles,
because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us,
and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue,
keeping us alert for whatever God will do next.
In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged.
Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers
to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!

Lyli, love this photo & the Scripture is so good in the MSG! I have always loved Romans Chapter 5 yet I do not think I have ever read it in this version. So thank you for sharing this today! Have a wonderful weekend!
I am glad that you loved these verses as much as I did! I had read them earlier in the week in the NASB, but this translation made the passage come alive in a new way for me.
Great image and love this line: “we can’t round up enough containers
to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit”
Oh, I just love the Message translation for this. So good! I hope you are having a blessed weekend. Much love. xoxo
Amen and AMEN!
we continue to count, blessing after blessing
