Seems so simple doesn’t it? Just keep my commands and live…boy, how we muck it up though! Thankful that the anchor does hold in those times and He is faithful to forgive and renew.
I love that…what better way to begin a new year than committing to being anchored in His Word. There is more power and strength in that verse than any storm that can come against you in 2014. Blessings! love, Rachael @ Inking the Heart
Thanks, Rachael. I came across this verse on January 1st when I was skimming through some verses on wisdom in Bible gateway. I turned to Chapter 4 and started reading in this translation, and there was the phrase I had already chosen as my theme for the year. I knew this verse was for me.
His Word Is definitely an anchor in the storm!
Where would be without that? I’m glad I will never know….
Perfect! It’s how we hold onto Jesus, isn’t it? By holding onto His Word! Blessings fo 2014.
Yes, that’s the theme for 2014. 🙂
Blessings right back at ya, Pat.
‘My anchor holds …’
Amen to that! 🙂

We do make a mess of things, don’t we? He is so faithful to forgive.
So thankful that His Word never fades!
Yes! It’s amazing to think that this whole world will fade away, but His Word will remain…
Good thinkin’. Good sharing. Need it every moment of every day. Thank you.
Me, too! I love that old hymn “I Need Thee Every Hour.” Your comment has me humming it right now.
Beautiful, Lyli. I am holding fast to this verse. A good anchor.
I’m working on memorizing it in January…. and hopefully will be better at my memory work in 2014 than I was in 2013. 🙂
