Renewing My Mind
When this world tries to tell me that I am not enough, then I will remember that God says
- I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalms 139:14).
- God is enthralled by my beauty (Psalms 45:11).
- God has given me everything I need for life and godliness (II Peter 1:3).
- I am more than a conqueror through Christ (Romans 8: 37).
- God has promised to complete the work that He started in me (Philippians 1:6).
- The Lord is my Helper. He will never leave me nor forsake me (Hebrews 13:5-6).
- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).
- God’s power is displayed through my weakness (II Corinthians 12:9).
- I am new creation, complete in Him (II Corinthians 5:17)
- Nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37).
- God is able to do more than I can ask, think, or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).
Q4U: What Scriptural promises do you cling to when the world tries to tear you down?
Thanks for stopping by! I would love to connect with you on Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest.
Hi Lyli! Thanks for sharing these great when/then reminders for us “Confident Heart” girls. I have recently learned to lean on Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) ~ “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” It reminds me to lean on Him because he has only the best intentions for my life. By the way, your blog is beautiful!
Jackie, that verse in Jeremiah is such a great promise! One of my favorites.
I am so glad you stopped by today. Blessings to you! 🙂
Hi Lyli! This is a great list of God’s Word to turn to for truth from the World’s lie that we are not enough. Phil 1:6 is one I’ve been particularly attracted to lately.
Katrina, thanks for stopping by. It’s so great to connect with other OBS sisters. I am in a FB group for this study and am enjoying it so much. Phil 1:6 is one of my favorites.. I use it as a postscript for all my e-mails. Love that promise! 🙂
Thank you for sharing all of these wonderful scriptures. They are a great reminder in a time when we think we are not enough!
So glad you were encouraged! 🙂
Lyli- thank you for posting these!! WHEN I feel down and worn out THEN I will remember that I can go to Christ and He will give me rest. (Matthew 11:28)
Love that promise from Matthew 11, Beth — especially after crazy weeks like this one! I am so thankful you are my OBS FB Leader. You rock! 🙂
Love this one: ■God is enthralled by my beauty (Psalms 45:11).
Need to remember this!
It’s one of my favorites! 🙂
Amen, girl!
🙂
Thank you for the wonderful list of scripture to turn to for renewing of our mind! I’m so grateful for the truth and promises found in His Word. Thank you for sharing Lyli and for linking this beautiful post up for Three Word Wednesday!
Much love to you.
Beth, I am reading The Confident Heart by Renee Swope as part of a Proverbs 31 Ministries online Bible study. This post was part of my homework this week and I really enjoyed putting it together.
Hi Lyli! I am your neighbor at Faith Filled Friday.
It is a wonderful thing to point out all the Scripture, and to know that it’s all “positive”. God does not say that we are worthless, we say that! And he is our helper…and my favorite, nothing is impossible with him. Yay!
Blessings to you, good to see you again!
Ceil
Don’t you love how He affirms us? He is so loving. 🙂
Hi Lyli! Blessings to you from Faith Filled Fridays – just appreciate the scriptures you’ve shared here – it is always the battlefield of the mind that can block us from pursuing all God calls us too. Taking joy in His Truth!
Joy!
Kathy
Yes, the mind is a battlefield. I am so thankful that His Word is my arsenal. 🙂
