Remembering

Tonight, I remembered.
I relived the sweet day that He heard my cry for mercy and pulled me up out of the mire.
I rejoiced in sharing the miraculous story of my healing with a new friend.
I recognized He’s provided a firm place for me to stand.
I reminded myself that weeping my last for the night, but joy comes in the morning.
I recalled the goodness of my God.
He remembered me.

Lord, I will worship You with a heart of thanksgiving.

Let’s Talk: Do you look back and remember as you wait and pray?
~
This year, my desire is to lift up holy hands and “Pray Big.” Want to join me? I’ve created a private “Pray Big” Facebook group for like-minded sisters to share their stories and surrender each one to our mountain-moving God in prayer. Let’s cry out to God together.

Remembering all He has done for us in the past is a key to future victory. That’s what David did when he faced Goliath!
Reminds me of Jesus telling his disciples at the last supper “Remember me.” (I think that’s how my NLT translates it.) 🙂 Sweet post, Lyli, thanks for sharing. 🙂
Lyli, I love that as we remember Him, we come to realize that He is always remembering us. Amazing to think on!
Oh, yes, Lyli! I look back and remember! When I don’t feel His presence, I remember! When I’m having a bad day, I remember. I remember so that I will NEVER forget His faithfulness and goodness! Thank you for sharing!
Lyli,
Yes, I do look back and remember…Thank you for sharing your story about your battle with depression and your serious health scare/issue (Yikes!…) and for giving God glory for how He healed you…I’m reading Deut. 6-8 and Moses keeps reminding Israel to remember what God has done…may God continue to grace you with remembrances of His past faithfulness to you, my friend…((hugsPP
Weeping may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning- I love to claim this promise when going through a tough season.
I cannot help but look back and remember. I will never forget where I came from and that which He saved me from. Blessings!
