The world tells us to strive for what we want. All we need is more willpower and motivation. With more grit, we can create our own desired outcome.

But that’s a lie.

We just end up exhausted and empty and wondering if it’s really worth it.

Jesus came to set us free from the futile pursuit of selfish living. He offers us an invitation:

Follow me.

If we are willing to surrender our way and pick up our cross, we will gain everything we desire.

In Christ, we are understood and noticed. His love surpasses all lesser loves. No other pursuit proves fruitful.

Spend 30 days seeking Jesus in the gospel of Matthew and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you how to say no to your way and yes to following your Savior.
