Pray All the Harder

I ran into Debbie at our Paneras on Saturday after the service.Β We call it “our Paneras” because no one seems to go there for a late bite on the weekends, which suits my introverted man just fine.
This week, Debbie and her hubby beat us there.Β As I approached the line, she turned in my direction and radiated warmth.
She’s so beautiful, I thought.Β Sure, she’s tall, fair-skinned and blond, but her resolute spirit glitters with grace.
Gritty grace is so attractive.
Debbie is walking a hard road with her man, but her countenance exuded a quiet confidence in God’s care.
God is bigger than her circumstances.
God is stronger than her fears.
She reminded me that gritty grace keeps calm and prays on.
Let’s press in and pray all the harder.
Lord, help me to continue steadfast in prayer.

Let’s Talk:Β Who inspires you to persevere in prayer?Β How do you stay encouraged on your knees?

This year, my desire is to lift up holy hands and “Pray Big.” Want to join me? I’ve created a private “Pray Big” Facebook group for like-minded sisters to share their stories and surrender each one to our mountain-moving God in prayer. Let’s cry out to God together.
Asking for big things from my big God too. My friends who are really prayerful inspire me to keep on praying. They’re simply amazing.
Exact truth-filled post I need today
I am so thankful for you, Lyli. You inspire me to keep praying. I am so thankful for daily devotionals that encourage prayer in all situations. π
Gritty grace. Now, you’re talkin’.
Those people who wear that mantle speak loud and clear … often without opening their mouths.
They are my dearest friends.
Thanks for this, Lyli …
“gritty grace” – love that phrase, Lyli. And that trait too. May we never give up praying.
HI
Pray BIG. Exactly what I have been doing. Our daughter had put an offer on a new home but needed to sell hers. We prayed big, lots of time. Last night she accepted an offer – all is well. I know that God moved mountains to make this happen.
Never give up. Even if they hadn’t sold in time – she knew that it would be okay. But so happy it worked out this way.
Great post. If you haven’t linked to Sunday Stillness would love to have you join us.
Found you at Playdates with God.
Blessings,
Janis
What a great phrase – gritty grace! I love it! This was my first visit here and I’m so glad I got the opportunity! What a blessing your corner of the blog world is!
Blessings and smiles,
Lori
You, Lyli, you encourage me to continue in prayer. Blessings.
