Overflowing

During a severe testing by affliction,

their abundance of joy

and their deep poverty

overflowed

into the wealth of their generosity.

  1. Yes! Just like that! This story in the bible always amazes me. I just shake my head in amazement when I hear of such generosity. Your image brings the story to life for me. Thanks!

(Have I told you lately how much I enjoy having you as part of the Sunday Community? You are a gift, and I’m so grateful you share yourself with us each week.)

    1. Our pastor is speaking through Acts right now on Wednesdays, & every week I get more & more convicted by those NT believers in the early church. They lived with open palms.

Thanks, Deidra. I really enjoy visiting with everyone in the Sunday crew! The Scriptures shared are always “right on time” for me.

  2. Afflictions was never meant to cause us the pain it’s our teaching in the affliction what we learn and grow. Paul asked Jesus three times to remove the thorn that was in his flesh and God never removed it. The thorne was to show him to be humble, and paul thank God for not removing it. Often times when things happen to us we to quick to say remove when Jesus is saying let it stay I am trying to mature you..

  3. Generosity is a huge need — both between us as individuals and within the Body. One stretch of favorite scripture for me connects to this, and I use my Amplified for it when sharing with people, is II Corinthians 9:6-15. It truly discusses “overflowing beyond belief.”

  4. Amazing photo so perfect with this verse! Abundant appears again πŸ™‚
