Kiss on My List

kiss on my list

I am a fan of the kiss.

Yep, I must admit that I look forward to joining lips with my man as much as possible.

His kiss is on my list.  (Cue 80’s song here.)

To kiss is to display respect, affection, love, and passion.

Imagine my surprise when a sweet friend gave me a Peanuts figurine that encouraged me to “Kiss another day hello!”

The adorable gift sits on my desk at work and reminds me that I must treat my day with respect, affection, love, and passion.

I am not promised tomorrow.

I need to be a fan of today.  I need to look forward to each moment as much as possible.

Kiss your day hello, my friends.   Make it sweet.

Deuteronomy 10:12-13

Something to think about…

    1. Elizabeth, you are such an encourager! I’ve been rolling this post around in my head for a while now and wondered if anyone would really find this is as intriguing as I do. Thanks for the sweet affirmation. xo

  1. You know I have read those words time and again… but today the admonition to ‘live a good life’ stood out. What does it mean to live a good life? That is the definition that seems to be hard to define for many, but for me Good is only connected to God and in that, living a good life is living a life that follows this wisdom to love God, follow Him and obey.
    🙂 Great lesson, Lyli!
    Blessings,
    Dawn

  2. Lyli, I read this earlier & have been singing the Hall & Oates song since 🙂 It may be stuck in my head all day! Wonderful post. I wrote on the concept of “today” yesterday & so this truly struck a chord for me. “Live a good life – today” by loving and serving Him with all we’ve got. Amen! And I love the photo too. Lyli, may you keep writing, keep sharing, keep teaching. You bring a great lesson! XO

  3. I was singing the song as soon as I saw your title. I do love me some Hall & Oates. 🙂

    This is perfect for me:
“I need to be a fan of today.” My OneWord2015 is “now.” And this statement is SO now. Thanks, Lyli. Great post!

    1. I’m actually a night owl, but one thing I’ve done recently that has helped me is that I created a morning play list of music that helps me rise and shine and give God the glory with intention. Worship helps me get up and face my day with joy.
