Holy Spirit Hit List

Sometimes, life feels like an episode of Mission Impossible.
I am sitting at home with my Bible open before me when out of nowhere I receive a charge: Your mission, Lyli, should you decide to accept it…
Usually, the mammoth assignment is beyond my capability. I can’t dismantle strongholds or soften hard hearts. I can’t unravel deceptive schemes and rescue those chained in the miry places.
I can’t turn darkness into light, but that’s not my responsibility.
My job is to say “Yes” to the charge. My calling is to love. My weapon is Truth. My position is to pray in faith believing that He who is Light will win the day.
I’m the girl who stands in the gap and believes the unbelievable.
One day soon, I’ll be singing sweet victory.
In the meantime, I get down on my knees and present to God my Holy Spirit Hit List. The Omnipotent One has placed His all-seeing eye my tough cookies, and the enemy’s plans will surely crumble.
One prayer at a time, I’m partnering with God on a mission of redemption.
Let’s Talk: Do you have a Holy Spirit hit list?
++
My desire is to lift up holy hands and “Pray Big.” Want to join me? I’ve created a private “Pray Big” Facebook group for like-minded sisters to share their stories and surrender each one to our mountain-moving God in prayer. Let’s cry out to God together.

I am sharing “Holy Spirit Hit List” and joining like-minded sisters at Give Me Grace, Let us Grow, Spiritual Sundays, Faith-Filled Friday, Blessing Counters, Live Free Thursday, Grace Moments, Tell His Story, Coffee for Your Heart, Three-Word Wednesday, Intentional Tuesday, Purposeful Faith’s RaRaLinkup, Rich-Faith Rising, Testimony Tuesday, and Sharing His Beauty.
Your beautiful PRAY BIG image is inspiring me … and it’s now in a place of honor as my screen saver where it’ll serve as a much needed reminder.
Thanks, Lyli …
One prayer at a time. Yes! That’s what I’m concentrating on too. “My job is to say “Yes” to the charge. My calling is to love.” Amen for the rest of us too. Thanks, Lyli!

So convicting Lylli! Not my responsibility
My calling is to love and obey. May it be so
Thankyou. Beautiful writing
Oh, I so needed to hear this today… my challenge is not impossible… God will partner with me, He takes on the impossible in my stead! Amen. Thank you, Lyli! Your neighbour from #TestimonyTuesday and #IntentionalTuesday!
Lyli, Yes! what a wonderful way to express our “arrow prayers” aiming straight for the heart of God, praying big, to have my will conformed to His…one prayer at a time…you are such a wonderful encourager to me and so many others…thank you! Many blessings to you!
Lyli, it does sometimes feel like an impossible task. But the truth is that it is a mission we will always be able to fulfill if we choose to trust fully in God, isn’t it? Blessed to be your neighbor over at Tell His Story this week.
Wonderful words to hear today! Glad to connect with you via #TestimonyTuesday and hope you will check out my link up on Wednesdays #Jesus&Coffee @ http://www.amommasjoy.com God Bless!
Oh, yes. One I’ve been neglecting lately. Thank you for the convicting reminder, Sister!
“My job is to just say ‘Yes’ to the charge.” I love this Lyli! So many times I feel ill-equipped for what God is asking. But He never asks me to do it alone. I often forget this. Praying alongside you for big things!
thanking God this morning for the work He’s doing on crumbling my cookies w/o me seeing! thanks, lyli
Yes, those big assignments, and we wonder how He’s going to pull us through. Thanks for sharing your story with such faithfulness and vulnerability!
How brave you are to immediately accept the charge He lays before you. I tend to stall and make excuses. I’m looking to you for faith inspiration and to learn how to immediately accept His plan!
A Holy Spirit Hit List! I love how you describe this in your mission to Pray Big. Saying “yes” is how God is working on me and teaching me to be brave. He has whispered more than once “go big or go home” this year. My hit list is working through those things that want to hold me back. I love the image that we can knock them out one at a time with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Lyli, I love your post today! It is so encouraging and uplifting, a great reminder that we have an awesome God who hears our prayers. And though we can’t change the world or even one person on our own, the Holy Spirit can. Our job is to pray and “Pray Big” just as you said. Blessings to you, sweet Lyli!
I like that, Lyli. A “Holy Spirit Hit List.” 🙂 Standing in the gap with you, believing the unbelievable. Sometimes choosing the mission seems daunting, but then…always…when we (I) get into it, it feels like home…like my soul is at rest there. So thankful for a patient God. ((xoxo))
I do have a holy spirit hit list Lyli. A list of names and situations I pray God will attack with a direct shot of his love and grace. Your words also make me think of a list of songs, a play list of sorts designed to encourage me as I’m praying about the other list. You’ve got me thinking this morning love. Thanks.
Would love to see that playlist, Lisha. I am working on a “Choose Rest” play list, but maybe next I can think about joining you on creating one on this theme.
“
Wisdom nuggets, that is what you leave here, Lyli. 🙂 Love this. If we focus on that one prayer, that one step, we can also turn all our attention then to the One Father who can take our mustard seed faith and grow a tree of blessing.
Blessings!
