A Teachable Spirit

Teachable people have an attitude conducive to Learning.
Teachable people possess a beginner’s mindset.
Teachable people take long, hard looks in the mirror.
Teachable people encourage others to speak into their lives.
Teachable people learn something new every day.
— John Maxwell (as quoted on a sign posted on the COO’s office door.)
Love this list, Lyli. Good stuff to think about; good stuff I need to think about.
What a good word!
Well I hope I’m still teachable since I have so much to learn. I am far from arriving. 🙂
A great Maxwell quote–teachable people make the best leaders!
Glad to be back after almost a month away with book and family priorities. God is good–but the days are far too short, lately, to accomplish everything on the list. Thankful for the times He calls me to lay down my best laid plans and be good with it in order to make time for better.
Trying to get back into the routine this month, though.
Joy to you!
Kathy
I pray that I would remain teachable although I know I am not always! But I want to be. Thanks for the words, the reminders.
Caring through Christ, ~ linda
Lyli,
Yes…for the grace to be humble and teachable…((hugs))
We’ve used the word “coachable”in our house for about 20 years – having a teachable child is so much easier than having a child that has to learn through experience (think Jacob or the prodigal). I’m teachable – except for my mulish moments – but I’ve learned to recognize the mulishness – and I become teachable much more quickly than before:)
Something great to think about as we near the weekend and get ready to start a fresh week.
I think it so important for us to remain teachable! How else can the Holy Spirit lead and guide our lives?
Thanks for the reminder and for the link-up, Lyli.
Blessings to you and yours.
