31 Days to Fruitful Living — Day 19
Sow patience. This fruit gives one courage to endure long and not give up. Patience strengthens your ability to act with self-restraint, rather than impulsiveness. A strong dose of its nectar helps one to step back, extend mercy, and accept that “vengeance belongs to the Lord.”
A patient person fully believes that God is orchestrating each event of life for His eternal purposes.
Patience waits calmly and understands that God, the Master Gardener, is totally in control.
+++
Dear brothers and sisters,
be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return.
Consider the farmers
who patiently wait for the rains
in the fall and in the spring.
They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen.
You, too, must be patient.
Take courage, for the coming of the Lord is near.
James 5:7-8, NLT

Q4U: How do you sow patience? Any tips? I could use some advice… 🙂
Dear Lyli
The only tip I can give and that works for me, is resting and abiding in our
Lord Jesus. It takes some practice, but once we enter our spiritual Sabbath we experience all the fruits of the Spirit sort of naturally. The only need to do the abiding.

Mia
Mia, thank you for the reminder that Sabbath is essential to growth. May you be refreshed this weekend, my sister. I am praying for you today — asking God to be very close to you and restore you physically. Hugs
Hey Lyli … I’ve often mused that I must have been toward the end of the line when the Lord gave patience to His beloved children! But I KNOW that I have full access to this sweet fruit of the Spirit! And how thankful I am that He doesn’t give up on us, but keeps on pursuing those He loves!
I hope your weekend is blessed with huge pockets of rest and refreshment along the way.
Linda, thanks for stopping by here. I am always so happy to see your name pop up. — It is an amazing thing that the God of this universe pursues me. I am in absolute awe.
I had an “urging” to click over her tonight after I had posted by “Sunday morning post”. Your words are a witness to mine and I love when God makes things happen like that.
Dina, so glad you stopped by. I love how God seems to speak to our hearts with the same theme for these link ups.
